has been formed to contribute to the preservation of German "Schuhplattl" dance culture.
Who are we
"AuerhahnChicago"is based in the Northwestern Suburbs
of Chicago for the convenience of its members and fans. We are a group of experienced "Schuhplattlers"
who are dancing for fun and for the preservation of German Shuhplattl traditions.
Come learn Traditional German
dances like , The "Bandertanz" (the Maypole dance), "Kuhschellen Plattler" (bell dance) and the "Bankltanz"
(the bench dance). We also can work on group dances like the "Tic Toc" and "Stern" Polkas.
All age groups are WELCOME and encouraged.
